Visit DreamHûs Day on Thursday May 22nd 2025! What is involved in developing a new product and implementing it? In interactive workshops, we’ll highlight the innovation process from the perspectives of the innovator, housing corporation and the resident.
What are we going to do?
From the 7 checkboxes you tick when scaling up an innovation to the hurdles you encounter when your product deviates from the standard. You can choose from three surprising workshops, in which we share knowledge and experience. In short sessions, you will discover which challenges you encounter when innovating and how to solve these stumbling blocks. All workshops will take place at the same time, you can only choose one.
Workshop 1 – Help, I am installing an innovation. What now?
During this workshop, you will discover the seven checkboxes for scaling up an innovation. Joris Hoeksema, innovation coordinator at WoonFriesland, Joost Spanjer from Borg and Auke de Vries from DeWarmte will take you on an innovation journey. From the starting point to the final destination. Along the way, you will discover which seven checkboxes you can cross off. We challenge you to improve and add checkboxes.
Workshop 2 – Help, I am an innovator. What now?
Innovation in the construction sector brings opportunities, but also dilemmas. New technologies and methods offer sustainable and efficient solutions, but often do not quite fit within existing rules, calculation models and market structures. How do you deal with this as a (starting) entrepreneur? How do you develop a product that helps construction move forward, while the market may not be ready for it yet? Janneke de Cort (ROEF) and Bert van Dorp (Orange Climate) will tell you how they develop products within their startup that deviate from the standard. Then we will discuss innovations in construction.
Workshop 3 – Help, do I have to get off gas? What now?
During this workshop you will step into the shoes of a resident who has to make a system choice: will it be gas, heat or a fully electric home? How do you move in this uncertainty when you want to make your home more sustainable? Waiting is not an option. Discover the power of the different systems and learn how the social rental company WoonFriesland and construction group Dijkstra Draisma make choices in this.
