Cooll selects ManGo and Pillen as manufacturing partners

Cooll is preparing its Thermally Driven Heat Pump for market introduction. Our unique TDHP technology has been completely developed in-house, including the manufacturing of our first prototypes. To enable cost-effective manufacturing on a larger scale, we’ve partnered with two specialists.

ManGo Product Design

Partner for industrial design and engineering

Cooll has joined forces with ManGo Product Design, a leading industrial design and engineering agency with strong knowhow in Design For Manufacturing (DFM). Cooll has called in ManGo to assist with cost reduction of some key heat pump submodules. By making design adaptions, ManGo will assist Cooll in replacing low volume prototype processes by ones that improve the producibility of these components.

The collaboration is currently moving from the Conceptual Design phase into the Detailed Engineering phase. Subsequently the necessary tooling will be realized to commence initial production of the improved components. This marks a major milestone in the transition from prototype to a scalable, cost-effective product. The results will become effective in a large field test with Cooll’s TDHP planned in 2026.

Pillen Group

Partner for manufacturing the first production series

ManGo suggested a couple of parties to support the upcoming assembly of the first production series of Cooll’s Thermally Driven Heat Pump, of whom Cooll has selected Pillen Group as preferred partner. With decades of expertise in precision manufacturing and a growing focus on contract-based system assembly, Pillen is ideally suited to support Cooll with the right competences to assemble their TDHP appliances. Key focus areas in our collaboration include: supply chain management, quality control, process repeatability, assembly improvements and cycle time reduction.

In the next months Cooll is focussing on the transfer of our assembly process to the one of Pillen Group. In accordance with our outlook, assembly of the first production units is planned in fall 2025.
