Vacancy: Senior Production Engineer
Cooll is a scale up company that revolutionizes the heating industry with a technology that significantly reduces gas usage and CO₂ emissions. Founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the University of Twente, we have developed a thermally driven heat pump powered by natural gas or hydrogen, compatible with both high- and low-temperature heating systems. Our technology achieves a reduction in gas usage and CO₂ emissions of 25-40%, without increasing electricity consumption. We are preparing to introduce this technology to the market together with manufacturing partners. We’re looking for professionals to accelerate this mission.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Production Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maturing the production processes of the most important part of the Thermally Driven Heat Pump: the Adsorption Arrays. Together with your colleagues and specialized external partners, you will ensure the successful execution of Cooll’s internal production processes from start to finish. The main challenge is to improve the maturity of the current manufacturing equipment in place, in order to scale up the capacity from prototype quantities to market introduction quantities. These process improvements need to be implemented before summer 2025, after which production will start.
In this challenging role you will work across various production disciplines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability as we prepare for commercial roll-out. You will work closely with our engineering and management teams to optimize manufacturing processes and support the transition from prototype to first series production. In addition, you will collaborate with different external partners and are responsible for meeting project deadlines.
Establishing this pilot line is just the first step in scaling, with a successful market entry the next phase will scale up to serial production. Plenty of challenges await, providing excellent opportunities for you to grow as a driven professional!
